Topic 2 - Data-based solutions for sustainable agriculture
We are open for cooperation within the framework of this call. We have long-term experience and a multidisciplinary team working with environmental, social, economic and policy data for risk management and sustainable agricultural development worldwide. Our expertise includes designing and implementing field experiments, conducting farm and household surveys, and using Earth observation and geospatial datasets for sustainable agriculture. We also have extensive experience in developing data-driven tools for farmers and analysing technology adoption behaviour, ensuring that solutions are both practically usable and aligned with farmers’ needs. We are particularly interested in contributing to consortia that develop data-driven tools and decision-support solutions for climate-resilient and sustainable agriculture.
Leibniz Institute of Agricultural Development in Transition Economies (IAMO) is a research institute that analyzes economic, social, and political changes in agriculture, food systems, and rural areas, with a regional focus on the enlarging EU and transition countries in Central, Eastern and South Eastern Europe as well as Central and Eastern Asia. It organizes its work in thematic complexes (e.g. frameworks and institutions, resilient agricultural systems, environmental risks, livelihoods and migration, food supply and supply chains, innovations and knowledge) and combines academic research with policy and societal dialogue.
