We are interested in joining a consortium in Topic 2 - Data-based solutions for sustainable agriculture. We are experts on insect biodiversity in agricultural areas.

The Department of Plant Protection has two major subdivisions, namely Entomology-Phytopathology. Field studies have not only been done in the research and training fields of the Faculty but also in growers’ fields in the Isparta region. The department has 14 academic personnel (11 Professors, 2 Associate Professors, 1 Dr. Research Assistant, 2 Research Assistants).
İsmail Karaca (M): PhD in Agricultural Entomology at the University of Çukurova since 1990. He has been a Professor since 1998. Main research topics are: biological control, insect ecology, IPM of insect pests, and tritrophic interactions. Authors of 360 papers, including 7 books. h-index 23, citations 2639.
