Topic 2 - Data-based solutions for sustainable agriculture
I am seeking collaboration on Topic 2, with a focus on nutrient management, particularly phosphorus, for improving water quality and agricultural production.
I am a Lecturer at the University College Cork Ireland and an environmental chemist specialising in nutrient management and water quality. My research involves phosphorus transformation in natural environment (e.g., soil and water) and nutrient (N&P) recovery from waste and valorisation. I am also interested in the policy-driven solutions for sustainable nutrient management.
Current research projects include:
(1) Fundamental mechanisms of phosphorus transformation in natural environment (soil and water)
(2) Technology translation for real-world impact (advanced materials for sensor development and water purification)
(3) Policy-driven solutions (bridging gaps between fundamental, applied technologies, and social/economic sciences to design holistic phosphorus management strategies)
