Topic 2 - Data-based solutions for sustainable agriculture
We are interested in partnering with partners from eligible countries in the area of precision farming that especially takes care of climate change related issues like drought, heat, plant diseases and insect pests.
We envision a Machine Learning based System, that provides forecasts for sustainable management of water, carbon and nitrogen, but also models other parts of the farm using different data sources, AI and digital twin technology. Especially the detection of plant diseases and insect pests is an interesting additional USP.
Hochschule Karlsruhe is a university of applied sciences, we contribute to a sustainable society with practice-oriented and application-ready research and development. The experience and expertise of the research areas "intelligent systems" and "resources and climate" will contribute to the envisioned project.
Our institute "Intelligent Systems Research Group" is focussing on research in the area of Machine Learning. We have publications and projects in relevant application areas like agriculture and forestry.
