We also bring significant expertise for initiatives focused on policy monitoring, agri-environmental indicators, and agricultural data for decision support:
• Identification of data needs for agricultural policy assessment. We have collaborated with public administrations to analyse interoperability challenges and data gaps in environmental and agricultural monitoring (e.g., in Andalusia).
• Development of EU-wide reference datasets & harmonized indicators. Strong background in creating homogeneous, multi-source datasets aligned with CAP and Green Deal requirements, using advanced data engineering and statistical modelling. Our land-cover mapping methodology is transferable and designed to produce homogeneous datasets across regions and seasons, aligning with the creation of Europe-wide reference datasets.
• Monitoring of agri-environmental conditions. We develop tools for long-term monitoring of land use, crop stress, irrigation patterns, and environmental indicators through integrated satellite + ground-based data pipelines.
• New methodologies for policy performance evaluation. Including data-driven compliance assessment, automated validation pipelines, and reduced administrative burden via NLP and AI-supported reporting.
• Decision support systems for future CAP. Experience with MCDA (Multi-Criteria Decision Analysis) models and digital tools integrating public and private datasets to support scenario analysis and policy evaluation.
• Advanced use of new satellite imagery and ground sensors. We integrate Sentinel-2, ASTER, UAV imagery, and sensor networks in our geospatial workflows for environmental and agricultural monitoring.
