Topic 2 - Data-based solutions for sustainable agriculture
We are seeking to join a consortium in the AgData Co-funded Call 1 as a scientific partner.
We have would like to contribute as scientific partner / work-package leader / data-analysis and sensor-integration specialist, contributing advanced expertise in data-driven precision agriculture. Our research focuses on UAV-based remote sensing, aerial robotics, multispectral and thermal imaging, LiDAR data acquisition, and the integration of heterogeneous agricultural datasets. We develop analytical pipelines and AI/ML models for crop monitoring, early stress detection, canopy characterization, and yield-related indicators in orchards and vineyards. We have also experience in orchard monitoring, crop phenotyping, stress detection, and 3D canopy reconstruction using UAV imagery, combining aerial robotics, AI/ML models and agronomic knowledge. We also have expertise in time-series analysis through satellite remote sensing.
Additionally, we have access to multiple agricultural use cases and living labs in Spain, enabling real-world monitoring, data acquisition and validation across diverse crop types.
The University of Burgos (UBU) is a public research university in Spain with strong expertise in agri-food technologies, environmental sciences and data-driven innovation. UBU hosts the JRU Drones, a multidisciplinary unit specialising in UAV technologies, remote sensing, sensor integration and advanced drone prototyping. The university participates in national and international R&D projects and provides access to diverse agricultural fields with vineyards, orchards and other crop types for data acquisition and validation. UBU offers modern laboratories, UAV platforms and computing resources, supporting interdisciplinary collaboration and delivering strong technical capabilities to consortia working on sustainable, data-driven agricultural solutions.
