Biome Makers is a company specialized in soil microbiome functional analysis for improving agricultural soils health. Our technology uses the soil microbiome DNA (metabarcoding approach targeting 16S and ITS genetic regions for bacteria and fungi respectively) and proprietary AI models to analyse not only which microbes are present but also their functional performance as a network, identifying biological pathways involved in crop yield, nutrition, health, stress adaptation, resilience and more agronomic indicators. With more than 100,000 samples processed across 56 countries and 200 crops, we have built the world’s largest microbial taxonomic reference database—over 55 million —which powers unprecedented insight into soil behavior.

We enrich this biological layer with integrated environmental data, including satellite imagery, NDVI, and proprietary metadata. Our AI models then translate these multi-layered datasets into functional predictions, ecological assessments, agentic insights, and tailored agricultural input recommendations. This fusion of biology, environment, and AI directly supports smarter, more sustainable decision-making.
