We welcome collaborations under topic 1 and 3.
We think we can contribute to consortia by:
- Providing operational digital infrastructure for soil and field data, ready to be integrated into Use Cases, DSS, and data marketplaces.
- Supporting FAIR data workflows, metadata standardisation, semantic models, and geospatial APIs, fully aligned with Topic 1.
- Offering a strong basis to build EU-wide reference datasets needed for AI, modelling, benchmarking, policy monitoring and CAP assessment (Topic 1 and 3).
- Engaging soil laboratories, agtechs, governments and research partners in a multi-actor approach, as required by the call.
- Contributing to the design of Use Cases linked to soil health monitoring, data-sharing incentives, interoperability testing or farm/field modelling, in line with the call’s Use Case requirements
The Varda Foundation is a nonprofit technology organisation developing digital public goods that address data fragmentation in agriculture. We build shared, open, and FAIR-compliant infrastructures to make field and soil data easier to identify, access, integrate and reuse, fully aligned with AgData’s objectives on data interoperability, data spaces, and evidence-based decision making.
Our main tools are: (a) SoilHive, a global platform enabling discovery, standardisation and exchange of soil data; and (b) Global FieldID (GFID), a geospatial identifier assigning a unique ID to every field, enabling cross-system and cross-border interoperability.
