In recent years, data space initiatives have gained traction in Europe to allow for data sovereignty and interoperability, however interoperability in data spaces work only on the metalevel (data description), whereas the actual data interoperability remains a challenge left to the data space participants. What if systems were able to exchange and use data from other systems without knowing in advance the data formats and schemas of their counterpart systems?
Despite the high effectiveness of the solution, there is no one-size-fits-all: To make it effective for each use case, the contextual factors must be configured into the solution. In the project GRAIN-Ag we aim to develop and evaluate methods for implementing GRAIN to multiple use cases in agricultural data spaces.
We look for partners that provide use cases, or that have dataspace experiences and knowhow as well as technical and conceptual background.
