Topic 2 - Data-based solutions for sustainable agriculture
Kitera provides a high-resolution IoT platform that bridges the gap between remote sensing and ground truth data. By monitoring trees’ physiology in real time, Kitera delivers a robust, science-based and traceable data set for tree stress and carbon sequestration. We are seeking to join a consortium as an industrial partner to provide hyper-local "Ground Truth" data for physiology phenotyping, climate-resilience modeling and carbon sequestration validation..
Our Technical Contribution:
Precision Physiological Sensing: Off-grid, solar powered, cloud-connected IoT systems and dashboard that measures:
--Early tree stress detection (biotic, abiotic)
--Carbon accounting
--Irrigation and water status
--Inventory & yield management
--Physiological phenotyping
--AI-Driven Insights: Proprietary algorithms that predict tree health decline (stress) weeks before visual symptoms appear on satellite imagery.
Data Interoperability: API-ready data streams that can be integrated into large-scale tech stacks, with value created for multiple stakeholders.
What We Are Looking For:
We are looking for a consortium (Stage 1) led by a Research/Academic institution or an Enterprise that requires:
--Ground-truth validation for satellite-based projects.
--Climate-adaptive forestry pilots in diverse European bioclimatic zones.
--Innovative tech companies to lead Work Packages related to "Data Collection," "Pilot Implementation," or "Technology Demonstration" for forests/orchards
