Topic 2 - Data-based solutions for sustainable agriculture
Within the scope of the AGROVOLTA-AI project, we are focusing on agricultural photovoltaic systems to contribute to meeting the increasing global demand for food and energy through sustainable and nature-based solutions. The project aims to integrate agricultural production and photovoltaic (PV) energy production on the same land area to ensure land use efficiency, increase resource efficiency, and reduce environmental impacts. To this end, an AI-powered optimization platform will be developed by combining data from digital twin technologies, machine learning-based predictive models, and IoT sensor networks. This integrated decision support framework will optimize both agricultural productivity and PV energy production while supporting adaptive, data-driven, and sustainable operational strategies. For the project, we are open to collaborations that will contribute to efficiency, sustainability, and innovation in agricultural photovoltaic applications.
